Sunday 12th October was the day of the final league competition of the year and also the One Day Championship Trophy for best weight on the day. Prior to the days fishing any one of 5 anglers could achieve the top league spot as points were tight at the top. Andy Fotheringham and Ben Lang were tying on points with others close behind. Adam Calley was also hoping to hang onto his trophy for winning the October match last year.
12 Anglers took part on the day and found the fish to be responding well. Fish were caught on a variety of methods but on the day Andy Fotheringham led the pack with an outstanding catch of 12 fish to his team of daddy Longlegs. Only the first five fish counted for weighing, the rest were returned. His first five also proved to weigh the most, despite a few others catching five fish.
A total of 42 Rainbows were caught by the 12 anglers which is a good days fishing this time of year.

- Ron Wilday 5 fish 6.89lb
- Pete Williams 5 fish 6.23lb
