After the long, hot dry summer where a lot of the bank was unfishable, the reservoir is now rapidly filling again. 80% of the bank is now fishable including the North Shore. However, there is still a need to wade with care as some areas will still have very soft and dangerous mud if wading far out. Particularly the North Shore and around the bird hide where there is a deep, steep sided channel and hidden holes. The Great Marsh area is still unfishable and do not try to take a short-cut accross this between the North and West Shore as the ground is treacherous.
Still excellent fishing to be had with catch returns in the region of 4 fish per visit.
