Only just over a week to go now until the start of the new season at Siblyback and a lot is happening this week.
Saturday 20th is a Bank Clearing work party from 10am until approx 2pm. Hopefully a repeat of last years where many members turned out and a lot was achieved. Please come along if you are able to even if you can’t get there for 10am. Ron has emailed members about the details of the work party.
3pm the same day is the AGM in the main meeting room. All welcome. Last year over 20 attended so we hope for a repeat of this and you will be updated with some of the latest developments which will benefit members. Please also take the opportunity to renew your membership subs for the year. Up to date members will be emailed the new 10% discount code for day tickets and the car park padlock code.
There will also be a fishing book sale at during the AGM.
Sunday 21st is the Roadford Fly Fair where the club will be represented and new members can join on the day. Charles Jardine, Shaun Leonard from the Wild Trout Trust and Hywel Morgan will all be present.
Siblyback has recently been stocked with several hundred prime Rainbows ready for the start so they should have had time to spread out by the start of the season. I understand there are some larger than expected specimens amongst them.
Saturday 28th Feb is open for Season Ticket Holders and the following day Sunday 1st March is the general opening.
