Fishing Update 24th March 2026

The recent warmer and sunny weather has seen hatches of small black buzzers at Siblyback. As a result there has been reasonable amount of surface activity particularly in the calmer areas with the trout taking the emerging insects.  Andy Fotheringham had a particularly good day fishing a hopper popper on the point with a couple of buzzer patterns as droppers. The fish came mainly to the hopper. Another angler found success with suspender buzzer patterns.

Lures still continue to catch, particularly during spells of no surface activity, but fishing shallow seems to have worked well during the warmer weather. Having said all this, we are now about to see a drop in temperatures and strong winds so anglers will need to adapt.

There are still many fish around the 2lb to 2 1/2 lb being caught
