Catch and Release Competition Rules
- To fish you will need a day permit or season ticket
- Fishing will start at 9.30am and end at 4.0pm. Fish hooked before 4.0pm can be landed and count. Fish hooked after 4.0pm will NOT count.
- Greatest number of fish landed decides the winner and placings. Rainbows and Browns count.
- In the event of a tie between two or more anglers, the winner is the angler who caught the first fish
- For a fish to count the angler must show a photograph of the fish in the net or beached if no net used. Digital photo either on phone or camera.
- If the angler holds the relevant permit, then the angler, if he wishes may take up to 5 fish, but a photo must still be taken of each fish straight after landing for it to count.
- Barbless hooks or crimped barbs only.
- Anglers: –
- May have up to 3 rods set-up, but only use one at any time
- Full floating line only, ie no sink tip, sinking line or sinking polyleader
- No more than 3 flies on a leader
- Single hooks only and no tandem flies
- Wading allowed up to thigh depth (must be visible gap above water surface)
- No angler to fish within 15m of another angle
