Everyone welcome. Full kit provided for those new to tying flies

Deer hair is the subject this month – I plan to tie up three flies: –

Additional tools include hair stacker

Empty clean margarine tub or similar to catch the bits / waste

1 Deer hair sedge- Hook = size 10. dry fly – I like longer hooks (if you have emerger hook perfect)

Thread = Light brown

Abdomen = Light brown dubbing (seals fur or hairs ear)

Wing = Light colour natural deer hair.

2 Deer hair hopper – This fly tied as a hopper but Rainbows will take as a Hawthorn fly……

Hook = size 10 or 8 dry fly – again longer or Emerger I prefer.

Thread = Tail / tag red

Thread = black

Body = peacock Herl or black dubbing

Rib = size 14 pearly Mylar or similar

Legs = Pheasant tail died black (Natural will do)

Wing – dark coloured deer hair

3 Carp biscuit fly – Hook = size 8 grub / blob hook

Thread = brown Black will do

Body – deer hair – any colour
