Friday 16th August saw 12 members gather at Siblyback for a day of fishing, casting instruction, club meeting and a BBQ.
The weather was more suited to the BBQ than the fishing, with bright sunshine and warm temperatures.
However this didn’t stop the keen members who fished throughout the day. Matt and Ben started early doors and were rewarded for their efforts and caught four Rainbows between them. A few fish were caught later in the day but the conditions on the day made it difficult.
At 4pm members gathered inside for the EGM where the updated Club Constitution was unanimously passed (full details in the members only section) and two new committee posts were filled. Thanks to Ben and Matt who join the committee as Competition and Fly-tying organisers.
This was followed by a superb BBQ (free to members) with Matt and Ben being chefs for the day
Meanwhile Dave gave some casting tuition to members and Iancouldn’t resist a cast right infront of everyone, catching a nice Rainbow almost immediately on a green buzzer – top angling considering the conditions!
A great day, many thanks to Ron for organising the day and Ben and Matt for putting on the BBQ.
