Fish 9.30 to 4pm at Siblyback, all members welcome. There is a senior trophy and a junior trophy for the winners.

The lake is fishing really well and has just been stocked again with 400 Rainbows of a good size. The beatles are about so some excellent dry fly sport could be on the cards.

Rules below:

1. To fish you will need a permit, Either a season permit, Five fish day permit or a catch

and release permit – Permits can be purchased on-line at –

2. Anglers are responsible for supplying and using their own PPE, glasses, cap, sanitiser

etc.….

3. No angler to fish within 15m of another angler.

4. Fishing start time is 9.30am. fishing stop time is 4.0pm

5. On Trust – Measure & Record the length of each fish landed, up to a maximum of 10

fish. Rainbows and brown trout count. If you do not record the brown trout that is

your risk! Record the time of the first fish you land.

All brown trout must be returned

6. Stop fishing at 4.0pm

7. Fish hooked before 4.0pm will count if landed after 4.0pm.

8. Hand your fish record to the competition adjudicator.

9. The angler with the overall longest catch (all fish lengths added together) will be judged

as the winner for both Junior and senior competition. In the event of a draw then the

time of the first fish landed will be deemed the winner.

11. Anglers: –

 May have up to 3 rods set-up, but only use one at any time, rod must

always be held when line is in the water.

 Use floating line only

 No more than 3 flies on a leader

 Catch and release, using barbless or debarbed hooks. Unless the angler

has an appropriate permit & chooses to take 5 fish or 8 for season

permit. After the limit is reached angler must use barbless or de-barb

hooks and practice catch & release.

 Rainbows, blues and browns count

 Single hooks only and no tandem flies

 Wading allowed up to thigh depth (must be visible gap above water

surface)
